Goat
Not much is known about this mysterious masked band, though an apocryphal backstory claims they are just one of many incarnations over the last 30 years of a group from a small, voodoo-worshiping northern town called Korpilombolo. With an unfettered sound influenced by everything from Afrobeat and heavy metal to Anatolian funk and biker rock, Goat is a highly acclaimed psychedelic rock band known for their free-flowing, maximalist approach. Their music can be lushly acoustic, blown-out and danceable, meditative, or infused with hip-hop influences.
Rose City Band
Rose City Band is the wide-screen cosmic country outlet of Ripley Johnson (Moon Duo/Wooden Shjips). Their sound features sun-kissed, timeless country rock rooted in a love for private press records from the mid to late '70s. The band’s newest album, Sol Y Sombra, digs its heels into insatiable grooves, with a parade of catchy songs that conjure a sunset drive through an open desert—both a celebration of a sojourn and a longing for the warmth of home.
MIEN
MIEN is a dynamic transatlantic collaboration featuring luminaries who have each forged a reputation for their head-spinning sonic creativity. Their approach to psych music combines the essence of its origins with an adventurous mindset, allowing them to create sounds that go beyond cliché genre trappings and studied thrift store cool. Their self-titled album explores a range of atmospheres and journeys, channeling the rich songwriting of 1960s psychedelia into a transcendent experience that reaches far beyond the 21st century.
New Candys
Concocted from the darkest deviant rock ‘n’ roll ethos and distinctive melodic distortions, New Candys have established themselves as one of the most compelling bands to emerge from Italy in recent years. They are recognized for their unfiltered artistic approach and versatility, seamlessly blending aggressive, gritty sounds with dreamy, introspective tones.
A dive into the line-up
Drawing from minimal krautrock repetition, pounding industrial techno and EBM, MAQUINA. creates an adrenaline-fuelled sound perfect for dark, sweaty dance floors. Black Market Karma brings psychedelic rock rooted in the sounds of 60s guitar and pop music. The lineup also features the noise-pop outfit ERRORR, the psychedelic folk and krautrock sounds of Smote, the psych/noise-rock band Kombynat Robotron, the warm, bluesy psychedelia of Pretty Lightning, and the ferocious psych-rock energy of Floral Image.
