DDW x Music Innovation Talks: Hybrid Music Vibes

Het Hybrid Music Vibes-project biedt artiesten de kans om te ontdekken hoe nieuwe technologieën kunnen bijdragen aan hun kunstenaarschap. Samen gaan ze op zoek naar innovatieve ideeën, nieuwe geluiden en grensverleggende ervaringen. Welke technische mogelijkheden zijn er en hoe kunnen zij hun kunst versterken? Tijdens dit panel vertellen deelnemers van de derde editie van Hybrid Music Vibes over hun ervaringen en projecten. En kijken we naar hoe het traject gevormd is als educatieonderdeel voor o.a. Rockacademie Tilburg.

De middag wordt afgetrapt met een demo van de installatie van componist en multidisciplinair artiest AURA. Binnen het project Hybrid Music Vibes heeft ze samen met Studio Wotto gewerkt aan de installatie 'Tussen Eb en Vloed', waarmee geluid zichtbaar, fysiek en diep gevoeld wordt. Met behulp van laserstralen en rook rimpelen real-time lichtpatronen door de ruimte, synchroon met haar muziek. 

Het panel bestaat uit Hybrid Music Vibes-deelnemers Mirusi Mergina, YRSA, AURA en puntjudith, en onderzoeker Sjoerd Thomassen.

Hybrid Music Vibes is een initiatief van Effenaar Lab in samenwerking met Rockacademie Tilburg, Thunderboom Records, Bureau Moeilijke Dingen, Studio Wotto en wordt ondersteund door Cultuurloket DigitALL.

The Hybrid Music Vibes project offers artists the opportunity to discover how new technologies can contribute to their artistry. Together they go in search of innovative ideas, new sounds and groundbreaking experiences. What technical possibilities are there and how can they strengthen their art? During this panel, a number of artists from the third edition of Hybrid Music Vibes will talk about their experiences.  

The afternoon will kick off with a demo of the installation by composer and multidisciplinary artist AURA. Within the Hybrid Music Vibes project, she worked with Studio Wotto on the installation 'Between Ebb and Flow', in which sound is felt visibly, physically and deeply. Using laser beams and smoke, real-time patterns of light ripple through the space, in sync with her music. 
 
The panel consists of Hybrid Music Vibes participants Mirusi Mergina, YRSA, AURA and puntjudith, and researcher Sjoerd Thomassen.
